Fashion Monotony

Over the past month or so I've found myself repeatedly reaching for the same outfits… leading to a sense of fashion monotony and feeling a bit uninspired. During this repetition 3 wardrobe staples have been my saving grace…

1. I've worn my cashmere cardigans to the point where I now see them as my comfort blankets, or similar to that perfectly worn hoodie from high school. A well-fitted button-up shirt makes me feel effortlessly chic and completely polished.

2. I have been throwing on brooches & pearls every time before I leave the house. Brooches add such a personal touch, especially when bought vintage. I adore pairing pearls with a hoodie or a simple fit - to add a touch of femininity. They've been the final touches I needed to bring charm & playfulness into my fits.

3. Slipping on silver ballet flats. I swear every time I wear my shinny Dorthy-Esque pumps I receive a burst of serotonin. They have become the shoe I always end up wearing. Simultaneously going with nothing & everything.
